Pogysoft is a part-time computer venture dedicated to solving computer-related problems in the
simplest and most elegant method practically possible. Why? If you consider the small percentage
of typical large packages such as operating systems, databases, programming languages, and
dynamic link libraries which are actually used on a computer, you will begin to
understand the nature of the problem. Many systems are an amalgam of historical bloatware,
bugs, and random occurrences. Pogysoft is dedicated to providing constructive, timely, high-quality,
adequate help with computer systems to "get the job done". Well, at least, as best as pragmatically
possible. Given the state of the art (computer "science", that is), I try to "just say no" when creeping features and poor
practice sneak into a software project.
What am I leading up to? Besides the sundry offers to become your employee, here you will find small
programs (both source code and executables), pointers to interesting internet resources, a list
of useful references and textbooks, snippets of source code which needs more TLC, and other things
useful to computer scientists. Nobody can "keep up" with the deluge of information generally available
these days, so I try to extract only the useful resources which can be understood by mere mortals.
